Book the flight. Just get away.

Miami is never a bad idea for a few days of R&R that won’t break the bank. My travel style can range but majority of the time I opt out of clubs, crowded places or night life in general. After all - i’m escaping the hustle and bustle of NYC and trying to unwind! I’m completely content with relaxing poolside, with a drink in hand and listing to good music. That is why a weekend at the Mondrian is perfect.

The Mondrian is on the bay side of Miami beach just a few minutes from the actual beach. The bay view is absolutely breathtaking especially at sunset! We were welcomed with two glasses of champagne and a photo opp at every corner of the lobby. Obviously this is my main concern LOL! The decor is modern with an eclectic aesthetic with a really spacious room that was clean and even had a mini kitchen. Our view was of the pool and bay as seen above.

The hotel draws a young crowd ranging from 25-40 years old which is great if you want to be surrounded by a certain vibe whether you’re relaxing or partying. The hotel offers a cafe and a bar by the pool. We spent a relaxing yet fun few days at the hotel while also still experiencing South beach. We spent a day at the Mondrian’s sister hotel, The Shelbourne and tanned in their private beach area receiving chairs, towels and great hotel service. It was the ideal weekend for mother daughter bonding.
