Maybe Winter isn't so bad

TGIF! *takes deep breath* We made it to the weekend. Let your hair down and unwind from the hard week.

I don't know about you guys but I absolutely despise the winter. I'd rather be hot than cold, half-naked than drowned in layers, and a golden goddess than pale as sh*t. Nothing about the winter makes me happy besides hot chocolate and the holidays. For me, getting dressed feels like a chore on most days.

I've kind of challenged myself (in my head) to be more creative and put unlikely things together to make this winter.. ummm.. less boring and sad. In my recent post, I talked about wearing summer items in the winter with the layering trick. I probably sound like a tape recorder when I say layering is key but honestly.. truly.. IT IS. I've had this plaid cape coat for about 3 years now and never executed it to its fullest potential until I received this SHEIN dress.

The dress is very thick so it has kept me warm on two of NYC's coldest days so far. I love how adding a belt to a shift dress can completely transform and add shape to your body. The beautiful dark green contrasts so well with the colorful cape. And we all know I love a bell sleeve. The cape allows the wide sleeves to get it's moment.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND AND STAY WARM BABES.
