A no costume, costume Halloween

Happy Halloween!

This year I had 0 intentions in partaking in any Halloween festivities but that doesn't mean I wasn't in the spirit. I decided to put together a no costume, costume look with everything that is already in my closet. Face it - most of us save things for the last minute or do not have the energy to go all out for a not so big deal function. Maybe you're attending your company's Halloween party, maybe you're taking your children and nieces/nephews trick-or-treating, or maybe you're just getting after-work drinks with your girlfriends and don't want to feel like a total outcast - here's some inspiration.

I picked up the lace bunny ears from Topshop for just $10 (on sale and only available at the store) and decided to work my look around the ears.

The lace bunny ears are very romantic and sexy so I went for that look exactly. I pinned two jeweled brooches and a dangling earring to the fur scarf. I wanted to incorporate lace into the look just to emphasize on the lace veil so I added ankle socks versus wearing booties. Again, keeping the romantic theme going. The leather jacket tones the look down and adds edge. It's also more appropriate for a casual outing. Add an intense smokey eye and a dark lip for a spooky effect. There you go, you've spent $10-$20 on a Halloween look you put together with pieces right in your closet.

Hope you enjoyed this Halloween look and my surprise guest, meow.
